Cotton Pickin' Tuesday ...

Significant for two reasons.  One, all day yesterday I couldn't keep straight that it was Monday not Tuesday.  Don's work schedule has been whacky and it has me totally screwed up as well.

So ... here's the cotton pickin' part ...

How lucky am I that I have a friend sweet enough to accept my weirdness and has enough spunk in herself to pick me some cotton!!

Part of what makes Fall for me is all the texture that nature gives.  Besides pumpkins, which I do love ... yes, even in their orange state!  I do love the white ones as well ... but let's not forget how I feel about orange.  I digress.

So Lynn travels this road almost daily as she heads to work.
She has been giving me the scouting report.

Then, like all good crops ... picking time presented itself.
She stopped, she picked, she packed and she delivered!

I have been delicately trying to get all the little "stuff" out of the cotton ... But then I poured myself a glass of wine.  Patience is not my strength.
Guess I'll work on it a little more tonight!

So when I say I have been pickin' cotton you'll know I am not telling a lie.

I remember passing this "southern snow" in the fields driving to and from Auburn while I was in school.  It's truly amazing how the fields go on for what seems forever.

I know ... it still needs a little (LOT) of work ... but I knew you would appreciate it!

Oh yeah, and I picked these Montauk Daisies out of my garden last night ... supposed to get the kind of freeze this week that kills everything.  I might as well go ahead and enjoy them!

It's going to be a Real Tuesday ... all day!

Monday Motivation!

Good Monday Morning!  This weekend was full of Fall ... and as I am on a total mission to GSD ... I bring you photos from the weekend!

One of the first things Don and I did when we moved into our Farm Road house was build a stone entry.  These are my absolute favorite Pineapple Lanterns ...

I wanted to make a stamp and the Pineapple represented Southern Hospitality for this classic New England Road!

Saturday night our Middle School had a fundraiser on the grounds of a beautiful Farm.

It was a wine tasting/silent auction ...

I give huge applause for the families that worked so hard to put this on ... the decorations and the night were perfection!

Short and sweet ... Hitting the road early today!

Powder Room - Week 2 ORC Link Up!

Week Two of Linda's ORC Link Up.

I hope you are following along the 20 designers and diy'ers she has on Wednesdays too!

Last week I showed you an inspiration photo.
Glamorous and Simple.

This week I bring my take on things.

The Road to My Design ...

1.  Pagoda Mirror.
2.  Firecracker Paint.
3.  Elephant Prints by our Friend Jennifer!
4. Leontine ... luxe hand towels!!
5.  Boxwoods ... I need green. For Balance.
6.  Gold Chevron Wastebasket.

When this powder room was evolving ... I wanted this:

This is when real decisions start to be made.  I REALLY wanted this Quadrille wallpaper which lead me to the hexagon floor.  I only needed 5 rolls of wallpaper.  This Q paper isn't stocked.  You have to special order it with a set up fee of $100.00 plus you have to purchase a minimum of 10 single rolls.

Yes, I probably could have found someone to buy the rest, or sat on it ... but couldn't justify basically doubling the price for the paper.

I had to sit back and re-group.  And as I did this mental re-grouping I found these 18X18  Thassos Marble tiles on special at my favorite tile store.

Ultimately I did make the decision to go for the large white tiles for several reasons.

The 18X18 tiles helped make the room seem larger.
Far better price,
I was so tired of the dark green flooring and this brought the light and shine!
And the new wallpaper I chose (check in next week!) looks dynamite with the white!

If you have a minute please visit me here.  Tiffany is doing a Fall thing ... I don't really decorate the inside for fall.  Not since the kids were really little and we had "Mr. Spooky" hanging from the ceiling to scare little costumed creatures knocking on the door!

So instead, Get inspired by beautiful White Farm Houses and Fall Foliage!

Thanks for stopping by and supporting me in the Link Up!

Happy Friday!!  After a few days "off" ... This week has been fast and furious!!

Last Fall ... this is how I was feeling ...
No Snow, just beautiful colors!

I know ... it is winter now.  The Snow brings a Black and White scenario.  But while we were in this mode I had the fun opportunity to work with a client on an addition.  A new Family Room ... and here were our inspiration fabrics.

Loving what Kravet bought to the table here and ...
so did She!!

We are still working on a few Details ... but here's what is happening.

Are you Sneaking A Peek of the Woods behind these windows ... we gave a nod to nature ... and then a little hip vibe to bring out the Color!

And Yes ... You are Spying The JAWhitaker ... oh Yeah!

Don't go judging ... the table Rocks ... but it isn't styled!!  We are Just Snapping Photos today!!

Enjoy your weekend my Sweet friends ... I will be attacking the Beast in the Basement!!

White Farm Houses + Fall Foliage

Thanks to all my sweet friends for checking in last week ... I took a needed little hiatus to get a few things together and am back this week to bring you lot's of eye candy!

This past weekend in New England was breathtaking.  Truly, the kind of weather and vision that will keep you coming back for more.  I have always professed to being a Summer Girl.  Well, I may be shifting ... that's legal by the way!!

I am a sucker for a FarmHouse.  I have found that I appreciate all architecture ... but my heart lies in a FarmHouse.  And the Fall Colors against a White FarmHouse ... can't find anything prettier in my book!

The stone walls winding down the road ... part of the magic of this little town I get to live in ... just add to the beauty and texture of Fall.

Sharing a few of my favorite FarmHouses in town today ... some I know well, others I am simply a Stalker.

The Simplicity of a Bench and Pumpkins and a few leaves blowing by.  Simple Beauty is What I am Loving today.

I know!  You can just feel the clouds moving in this photo ... A gorgeous New England Sky!

Porches ... they speak volumes of HOME while just sitting there!  These FarmHouse Porches remind me of the South.

I got to take a few extra photos here because I actually KNOW the people who live here!!  They already know I am a bit whacked in regard to design!

Built just in the past several years ... this FarmHouse evokes the charm and look of our more historical FarmHouses.

I am just a straight up Stalker of this one ... we drive by it frequently ... so much so that I feel like I know the people that live here!

Don't you want to just sit in those rockers and watch the world go by?  I think they would think I am off my ROCKER if  I stopped by, knocked on the door ... and asked for a Tour.

Another one of my Stalking Houses ... this one Historical.  I often wonder how people would react if a stranger knocked and admired ... would you do it?  Would you let someone in if they said this?

The dog was out in this yard ... so I Snapped and Ran!!  How weird???

I hope your weekend was as beautiful!  And anytime you want to drop in here ... You are More than Welcome and I hope you'll stay and visit a while!!

Happy Monday!

Yellow Bunny!

Yellow has always been a tough one for me.  I like it, it is happy and warm.  But I never really WENT for it.

But then something happened.  This ShowStopper Room is very appealing.

Elle Decor ... I think!!!

Let's break it down.  To the Ground.

The Uber Wide Yellow and White Rug ...  Perfection.

The Subtle Soft Blue Upholstery ...  Perfection.

Accents of Blue and White Chinoiserie ...  Perfection.

Just enough Dark Wood to feel Grounded ...  Perfection.

Clutter .... Not Hoarding ... Just Enough ... Perfection.

The Tall Ceilings.  I am extremely envious ... Perfection.

Bunny Williams Rocks the Yellow and I am a Believer!!

Fall is the time to bring in the Warmth of Yellow ...
 for a little ... Perfection!!

More CGN!

Since I had my AHA moment (as stated by Kim@Chattafabulous .... Thank you!)  I am loving my color in neutral spaces and able to 'see color' in a way I haven't before.

This entryway is warm and welcoming and bursting with Color Goes Neutral!!

Another example how neutrals can be warm.

All photos courtesy of Elle Decor!

I still love a good dose of happy color splash.  However, these Colorful Neutrals are capturing my attention right now.

Maybe it's the fall in the Air ... and my need of Change!

Have you changed anything up for Fall?

Meandering ...

Let's face it ... I don't meander ... my thought is that you don't either!
Too many things to get done, we are all trying to beat the clock and scratch as many things off our "to-do" list as possible.
Today, I grabbed my camera and tried my best to enjoy the ride.

Silverwood Organic Farm ... "pick your own" we had a ball here this summer bringing home fresh beans, tomatoes, kale, broccoli, carrots and wild flowers.

There is truly nothing like fall in New England ...
the farms, the colors, the stone walls, the crazy painted  cow ... all of them make me smile.
I am blessed to see all of these images on a daily basis.  Sometimes I take it for granted ... but this day, Nature stood up majestically and made me take notice!

Hope you get to Meander a little this week!
