It's Easter this weekend.
Which makes me think of Pinks and Greens and springtime. Which makes me think of Summer.
Which makes me think of Picnics.
Which makes me think of Gingham.
Some people think Gingham is Old Fashioned. I like to think of it as "Little Buffalo Plaid".
And that, my friends, is NOT old fashioned!
I know you have seen this kitchen before. I can't move on.

Which makes me think of SeerSucker.
New Englanders don't really connect with it.
We are culturally "SeerSuckered" into a vortex with this conversation.

And bow ties ... I won't even go there in this post.
Back to SeerSucker.

Now that I have come out of the basement for my ORC ... the upstairs is getting painted ...
The outside yard looks like a disaster zone. Melting ice and snow and firewood strewn about ... my dogs think firewood is a bone.
Do you see why I am already focusing on a SeerSucker Spring and Summer!
Do you ...
Buffalo?
Gingham?
SeerSucker?
I am hoping to do all Three ... Hope you'll Come Back and Watch me Play!!

I am desperate for Spring no matter what fabric you dress it in. What color are you painting?
ReplyDeleteI've always loved that kitchen! I haven't done either, as close as I've come is a cute gingham blouse I saw at TJ Maxx a few days ago pink, yellow or blue ~ I couldn't decide, but I'm going back for it!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you can't get over that kitchen...too much to love here to move on. I love buffalo, gingham and seersucker as well and I adore the bow tie.
ReplyDeleteYes please!! I love all three of them. Can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to watch you PLAY!!!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics remind me of my childhood! Wow....I loved seersucker! The bed skirt is gorgeous!
I, for one, LOVE plaids and checks and seersucker *big time*! Maybe it's 'cause I'm southern. :)
ReplyDeleteI love gingham and seersucker the most! Can't wait to see what you come up with Kim!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved a buffalo.
ReplyDeleteLOVED THE SEERSUCKER BEDDING.....WANT THIS!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a buffalo check gal. Just bought a cute shirt in black & white buffalo check and I love it on the walls and on curtains, too!

I love the big checks! My dad wore seersucker suits and it brings back such memories. I love seersucker- makes me think of coastal, or children's rooms. What color are you painting your LR? Can't wait to see. My yard looks like yours, chewed sticks all over.. Have a happy Easter.
