Kim and I recently had the privilege of attending the 48th anniversary of a dear friends 18th birthday. Not only was the party great fun we got to sample a bottle of wine the size of which I had never seen before. The pictures below of our new friend Nicci should give you some idea.
Charles Krug no matter what the size is making some great wine. Deep, inky dark and brooding this extracted beauty is deep dark plum with hints of chocolate and vanilla all over the palate. It finishes long and lush with a full back of the mouth feel. Simply delicious.You should be able to buy a vintage more recent in a bottle a bit more easy to handle for less than thirty bucks. Delicious, buy some, you will not be disappointed. Life is short enjoy the wine.
