How do you like me now? ORC Update!

Linda, prompted by Elisa ... is doing a little espionage work to see if we actually have done anything different to our original ORC rooms.

Here's my Round Up
Go Here to check out all the other Rooms
Made Beautiful during the ORC!

My First ORC... for a young family ... while the pieces are the same in their family room, it is now filled with their love!

My Second ORC ... turning an unused eating area into a Keeping Room for a young family to gather, wait for mom to finish cooking, and read books. The only change they made?  A new puppy!!

My Third ORC, here's where things start to change.
My Office Illusion ...

What's different ... this illusion was ripped down and here is my NEW reality and it is NO illusion!  Definitely a contender for the April Link Up!

10' X 7' ... remnants of a Dark Room.
All Mine.

My Fourth ORC I joined in the ORC Link Up Party ...
Our Powder Room.

What's different ... we Moved.  I am now faced with this.  I cannot even call this a Powder Room.  Another Contender for the April ORC Link Up.

I'd like your Opinion ...
Which one would you like to see me tackle in April?

Powder Bathroom OR my No Illusion Office?
And, YOU can help me Focus!

Plus ... Pick a room and join the Link Up. Here's HOW.

It's a "Bunny Affair" GiveAway!

Do you have a "Design Mentor"?
Without a doubt, Bunny Williams is my Inspiration.  I have always admired her style, her sense of the Traditional ...  and how she keeps it fresh, NEVER boring or stale.

And her gracious ways that seem to draw me into her interior spaces.

For Christmas I received this,

But here's the deal.  I already own a copy.  Now, I have read this book over and over and over again.  It is dog-eared from use, I practically know every room in it by heart, and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Some of my favorite rooms ...

Bunny has lived in this house for over 30 years.  I understand the longevity and how the house is such a part of her.

I got to meet her last year ... DreamDay!!

For one reason or another, the longest I have never lived in a house is for 12 years.

Just when I feel the basics are covered and the fun is ready to happen ... I've started a new adventure.

I don't know how long we'll be at Peckham Hill but I am Starting the Affair!

And here's the FUN ... My Gift to YOU!

In celebration of HOME and Spring peeking around the corner, I'd rather share the love and send it to YOU than tromp to the Post Office just to return it to Amazon!

Leave a comment telling me who is Your
Design "Mentor"

It might be fun to explore all our Inspiration!

And you'll be entered ... Winner announced on March 14!

Going for Gold ... And White!

As I rule I generally wear Silver jewelry.  I am a creature of habit.  I have a uniform of sorts and I like a routine.
I tend to wear the same earrings, bracelets and rings every day.

I do like to change up my watch now and then.

But when it comes to interiors ... I lean to Gold.

Especially in our dark winters ... I need the Warmth.

What I love about these spaces is that they are completely Liveable.

Yes, a touch of Glam ... but just the amount to suit me.

And While I have always admired others in Lilly, I feel a little FAKE in the pink and green.  It just doesn't feel like ME.
I'm far more comfortable in my jeans and cowboy boots.

But a girl does like to get dressed up on occasion and Lilly has given me THIS!

Now I can rock some Gold and White.
Quite Comfortably ... and would probably pair it up with these.

1. If I had all the money in the World ... Bag.
2. Love the Flip Flop for Summer.
3. The High. And the Low
4.  And because I like a Collection.

Lilly, you've given me a Classic I can Embrace!

Friday Snip - It's and a Confession ...

I have such wonderful blog friends and I love to read, comment and totally consume the images that everyone puts up.  And as much ADD that I have ... I also can get sucked in and go into a complete Singularly Focused Vortex.
Tunnel Vision Mode.
I was there ... since Thanksgiving.
Totally focusing on the Holidays and our Move.
I became paralyzed in thought.

So this Friday's Snip - It's represents a re-birth of sorts!  I stopped blogging (and reading them) ... for two weeks.  I found that I needed a visual stimulation break and to let my own mind create and do what it does on it's own.
I had been completely over-stimulated.
Like a kid in a candy store.

If you follow me on IG (okay, I didn't go cold turkey!) you know that we snuck away for what was supposed to be a business trip for Don and I got to tag along.
Then the snow storm happened and no one else could make the trip.  We happened into a four day getaway ...
It was a God Gift to the two of us.

1.  Never liked to admit my middle name was Sue.
Then I met Dirty Sue Olive Juice.
Yep, I've made peace with it.
2.  You know I love a good cowboy boot.
None made the trip home.
3.  Dining on Sushi at YellowTail in the Bellagio.
Have to tell you the sushi was good.
The floors were fabulous!
4.  Petroglyphs at Atlatl Rock in The Valley of Fire.
Looks to me like they were channeling a good martini as well!
5.  These Yoga Pants.  I stalked a woman in the Las Vegas Airport. She told me where to get them.
I might start doing Yoga.
6.  The Moscow Mule in a Copper Mug.
Refreshing ... an Adult Icee!
7.  The Toilet at Aria Resort.
Unlike any experience I've ever known.
8.  Most Beautiful Shrimp Cocktail ... EVER.
Todd English Pub.
9.  Nice to wear Disco Flip Flops for a few days!

Being away from my computer reminded me that there is a Big Colorful World out there.
I stopped and soaked it up.

Friday Snip-It's ... Baby It's Cold Outside!

1.  New Faucet and Countertops in.  Sharing next week my virgin opinions
of manmade stone.
2.  Wallcoverings from Stark.  I love the "Pappagallo" handle!
3.  I was the only shopper in Home Depot on the Snow Day.
Nice, but creepy!
4.  Working My Stud in the snow!
5.  Another Great Pillow sporting Bold color.
6.  Dining Room Project and love this chandelier from Dayton Home.
7.  Another one.  Either will do just fine!
8.  I have a Love/Hate relationship with Home Goods.  I would like to discuss this more.
9.  Snow Days allow me to get my"redneck" on and shift into 4 Wheel Drive.
 No chewing tobacco allowed!

Have a wonderful Weekend ... It is needed here!  Cheers!

Gloss. Black. Indeed.

I really hate to complain ... but I was looking forward to a fabulous Monday ... and it all got shot to hell by one phone call this morning.  Oh so sorry, we've had a snag honing your countertops ... so now we cannot be there until tomorrow.

Ugh.  okay.  So I am bringing you my Bright Spot of the Day.
Bright. And. Black.
Gloss.

On my quest to eliminate red brick from the inside of our home, I armed myself with my favorite Gloss Black and turned up the volume on the Basement fireplace.

I will do a full reveal of this room very shortly ... just tweaking a few more things.

However, I know you like a good Before and After Shot.

So just to put things in perspective ... here's where we started:

We did have the drop ceiling removed and now have a plastered ceiling with can lights.  What a difference they made as well.

The Red and Glass clock used to hang in our Mudroom.

I absolutely LOVE the way the gloss also camoflauges
the tv!

What a little Gloss can do to bring a little life to the show!!
