Art Inspiration

Inspirations ... we all have them ... Don and I have built our home (well, gutted and re-built!) around our inspirations.  We fell in love with our "girl" as we call her.  Steinlen became famous for the poster and advertising art he produced during the Belle Epoche era in France.  Our "girl" was a drawing of his daughter in an advertisement he created for a dairy in France.

Here's where it began ... the "girl" and two chairs from Brimfield Antique Market ...

Stop by tomorrow and every Thursday, as Don begins "a few words about wine" ... What better way to head into your weekend than with some no pretense insight into the wine world.  With four kids and three dogs, we drink our fair share ... see you tomorrow!

New Beginnings ...

As an only child, my dream was to have six children and live on a farm.   I didn't quite get that dream ... but something better! My husband and I have four beautiful children, three dogs and live in an area surrounded by beautiful farms. We live it to the fullest, chaos abounds ... which is what I thrive on!

I have been blessed with a beautiful family and the ability to do what I love every day.  My wish is for everyone to find beauty in their lives ... whether it is in the warmth of your home, the faces of your children or the sun shining bright after a long winter.

My love of interior design has taken me on a path to help others find beauty in their home ... no matter how small or grand.

"The journey not the arrival matters" - TS Eliot

T.S. Eliot was speaking of travel when he stated this, but I believe with great passion, it holds true for the life and love of a home.

I hope you will join me on my journey ... mostly about interior design, but lots of life smattered in ... and have fun with me along the way.
